Poketype is an interactive typing practice web app that turns speed-typing training into an action-packed survival game. Wild Pokémon advance towards the player to attack, requiring players to type out the correct Pokémon names accurately under time pressure to defeat them before they reach the boundary.

The application dynamically pulls creature data and sprites using the PokéAPI. In addition to the main typing arcade mode, the app includes an integrated Pokédex module where users can search, filter, and view detailed stats, types, and base stats for their favorite Pokémon.

I designed the frontend to focus on low input latency, real-time state management, and smooth visual feedback to ensure typing strokes register instantaneously during fast gameplay sessions.

This project combines my passion for gaming with web development, exploring how gamification can make utility tools like typing practice engaging and enjoyable.
